5 Things WWE Could Learn From NXT Takeover: Respect

“YOU DESERVE IT!”
So, then: Respect was a bit of alright, wasn’t it? NXT’s latest Takeover event was, by all accounts, another resounding success for a brand that continues to leave its parent company in the shade. Great matches, mostly satisfying conclusions to long-running feuds and excellent storytelling made for a great show that bodes well for the show’s next steps – coming at a crucial time given the perceived lack of big players in the brand after the main roster promotions of the likes of Kevin Owens, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks.
It means that the spotlight currently hanging over the very lacklustre run of Raws that have been rolling out as of late grows ever bigger, especially with the biggest Wrestlemania in history now very much looming over the horizon. But, fear not, WWE! All is far from lost! NXT isn’t just a solid sign that the longterm future of WWE is in safe hands.
There are plenty of lessons that Vince et al could take from Wednesday night that could help them steer WWE back onto a promising course once more…
